I have a Corona 73 the engine is running like a top but the tranny is shot.
It's an 3 spd automatic (column).
Im wonderning if a tranny from a 20r or something like that will fit.

As far as I can remember it will work. Talltaco's 74 Celica's 18RC has a 5 speed from an 80's Corolla. I also know that guys have dropped 20R and 22R's in place of the 18RC with out changing the trannies. These were all manual transmissions. I would think it would work the same for the auto's. _________________ Jason S

That`s interesting, Im pulling the tranny this weekend, I should be able to compare with a 20 or 22r after that.
I will take some pictures, that might help.
