I guess it about time I started a thread for my fj.
Here's a picture I took a few days after we bought it.

Right now it's completely stock, but... This is what I have sitting in my garage.
3 inch rough country series 2 lift

And a set of wrangler territories 285/70/17

Hoping to have it all installed next weekemd

Those are very good tires in my experience. I have the same wheels as you on my 80 and I strongly considered them, but ended up with Toyo MT's in the same width only a little taller.

I have only heard good things about these and canadiantire has them on sale for 230 right now so it made the choice easy. I wanted to go down to 16s but I couldn't find any at a decent price.

I'd like to see everything installed. I want to do the same thing to our FJ Cruiser. Except I have different Ideas for a lift.

So I got the tires on, they look great and fill the wells in real nice. . The tires themselves have lifted the fj 1-1 1/2inches. I'm really excited to put the lift on tomorrow.

Well I was only able to get the rear springs and shocks in yesterday. I wasn't able to detach the ball joint in the uca to drop everything. I tried everything but the right tools haha. I was able to install hid kit I picked up at tiger yesterday though simple plug and play. The difference is insane, best upgrade you can make I think. This is the one I got.

Trust me we tried that. We tried everything heat, prying, hammering, etc. it was almost like it was welded in there.
