Finally back to work on my truck!! Tacked up some motor mounts and placed everything to see how it looks. Hood will need to be cut, headers need to be modified, as does a bunch of other stuff. Feels good to see what it'll look like!

BADASS! Looks like a good fit. Are the headers hitting the frame or whats the deal?

The passenger side is close but it's really close to the brake line. Drivers side is good, just have to change where it turns down.

Brake lines are an easy fix. If its that close already I would re route the brake line entirely so its far away from that exhaust. You don't want brake fade when your running Dorothy through Baja Cool

So it's been slow going but I've done a bit in these last two weeks poking away at it. There was small rust holes that turned into big holes to make room for tires if I ever go bigger. Still a lot of work ahead of me but glad to get back into it Smile

So this is my first time welding sheet metal as well...

I've done the header mods on the Thorleys before If you want to have a peek at it ... http://toyotatrekker.proboards.com/thread/777/joels-start .
It was a crap load of work , and very expensive for my customer , so
Now I just build swap headers for the masses , much less work and less expensive then the Thorleys http://toyotatrekker.proboards.com/thread/910/3-4l-swap-headers

Yes I can't wait! It's coming along now!

Slacker I prob pulled my motor five times to see how to make them fit better. I ended up cutting the passenger side and turning the flange 90 degrees to clear the frame, and angling the drivers side downwards and a slight angle for clearance. Wish I knew about the swap headers before, oh well lesson learned!
