Bought this little 87 long box last November and finally got around to it this September. Built it mostly out of spare parts.

Came engineless but originally had a 22r.
Swapped in my spare 22r from Dorothy.

Made a $30 snorkel for fun.


Then a small three inch rust hole turned into replacing the front drivers floorboard....

Installed the spare rear diff with factory 4.10 elocker out of the 2003 Tacoma i recycled.

Used the factory computer and wired a light in to know when it's locked. Light is the small red round one under the tachometer.



And here's the finished product. I built this for my younger sister to learn how to 4x4. Through on a trail gear bumper. It, the alternator and a fuel pump were the only new items I had to buy.



In the spring we plan on building a nice flatbed. This one is fugly...

Oh also did this one November Sunday afternoon. 36's and no lift. Just for fun, took about an hour.

Nice work DoubleD. The 1st gen needs a good thrashing with that setup. Looks fun.
