Looks really good Ben. I look forward to many trips to Dairy Queen! Maybe we can sprinkle a little Captain Crunch or Fruity Pebbles on our iced cream. Laughing

Few more updates...

I've been dealing with lots of front diff drama lately. The short version is that I got all excited about ordering an 8" Diamond because after I removed the factory bottom brace I noticed the diff was bent. I was able to straighten it out with some weld. Brian at Front Range said he wouldn't be surprised if Toyota used that brace during production to keep things true.

These factory braces are actually quite beefy. Almost 5mm.

No good...

This was about half of the weld I had to lay on the tube to get it to pull that tiny bit.

Fingers crossed this is ok

Found this in the scrap metal pile at work. So sad. I went back a couple days later to grab the OEM Snorkel but someone decided to move the truck a few feet with a loader and demolished the snorkel.

Leftovers from the Land Cruiser...

These are oem rear bump stops off that LC. Should work perfect for the front.

Here is the comparison between the LC 9.5 and Toy 8" Pinions. 27 vs 32 Spline. A good upgrade down the road if I can't make the 8" stuff last.

Making some room for Longfields.

This made quick work of it.

Ready for weld. 12" I beam to keep the diff from warping!

The beam was handy for position the diff.

3 hours tig time later...

Not all stacked dimes but it will all look the same after epoxy and paint.

Finished up with a dry fit yesterday to make sure the Longfields clear the balls. Ready for paint!

Elocker motors are a pita to fit when you turn the pinion angle up but I'm happy the second time around.

Diff is done. I'm pretty happy with how things turned out. I took the truck for a quick tour around the alley and it seems to ride a little better with the HD springs. I also made some proper brake line mounts.

ARB twin compressor! I can't wait to try this thing out.

Got some dents worked out of this hood. Now it needs primer.

I think the plan will be to glue these flares on my stock fenders. I cut them off some reproduction fenders I bought ages ago. They will be painted medium blue.

I can mount some vinyl edging on them to cover up the front tires.
