Well I am back at it. Order up a floor panel for the driver side and started working on roll cage/body mounts.

Seeing a few of the guys on here moving on projects got me motivated again.

Attention to detail sucks. But I did get some pictures. Got the fenders cut and mounted up. Cut more of the rocker off and figured out what will work to replace it. Got the tube out and the bender out for the rockers/body mounts.

Once I get the body mounted, I'll switch my attention to getting the engine/tranny/tcases in.

so i cant quite tell what you have going on with those front fenders.. did you cut the entire inner fender skirt out?? i assume that if thats what you did it was to make room for shock hoops??

looks good!! after i get rankenstein out you are gonna have to come over and help me design my hydraulic bender.. you have bent some tube now so i would be curious to see what kind of idea we can come with..

I only cut out what I needed to make them fit. Shocks are still going to be an issue... I'll tackle that after the body get bolted up.

Needs to get cleaned up but I am liking the direction it has taken. Body is solidly mounted so next up is drivetrain placement!

its good to see some progress on the truck anyways.. it will be fun to have another 40 series on the road.. Wink

Long day in the garage today. I took off the head of the 3B and found some rust issues. After a good hone and taking the piston out to ensure the rings are OK, the bottom end is back together.

The head is getting ported and polished. WOW is there lots of room for improvement on this head. 6 hours with a die grinder and I think I have it roughed out and smoothed over. Now to start with some 80 grit to really get it to shine. I think I will go up to about 400 grit. I'll also get the head decked as I have it out.

I can't wait to get the engine set in place!
