i was out today with my truck.
beat the hell out of it for a few hours, had a blast.

those 83 SA sure go through anything.

Yes they do go through a lot but they are not an SAS, they come with that from the factory... no swap needed Wink

The solid axle yotas seem really hard to find for sale these days, or am i looking in the wrong spot

i have a 90 IFS and the 83 SA

the 83 is 10times more fun.

i will come out next time u guys go.

Just build your own...SAS's are becoming more and more common, and an sas'ed toyota is much more luxurious then the early solid axle toyota's. I am on my second set of axles under my 91 and my 3rd hanger...It get's easier and easier the more you do it!!!!( as long as you stick with toyota axles)

He means that if you SAS a newer truck, it comes with better options and nicer interior, sunroof, power windows etc etc etc.... rather than banging around in a 1982 rusted out death wagon. (I still love my 83 death wagon)

i perfer to be in a truck that i can afford to fix.

one that has less features, less to break.

but then again i only use mine as a 4x4 toy, never ever drive it around like a daily.

Well, you can get a solid axle truck with all of those options, but they are becoming rare.
