Well I got a new trailer yesterday and decided i dont want to use my New Denalli for towing. I know I should probably be getting a cummins, but I really like the New 08 Ford trucks. Sooooo anyone have one? Are these 6.4 TT junk??? Any really facts or experiance is appreciated. Thanks. It would be a F350 4 door 6.4 TT.

you're right, you should just get the cummins!!

no fact or experience with that new ford. It does look bad ass, but ford has struggled so much with their diesel trucks after losing the 7.3 the 6.0 was a disaster

It would scare me to run a ford until I saw some hard evidence that they have things figured out....

12 mpg until (hopefully) you get to 50 000 kms then you may have slight improvement with a twin turbo Ford. My buddies experience-and his dealers advice. Confused
With power comes thirsty motor I guess. Not acceptable I say.

Yes that is not aceptable. I think the 6.4 makes less power than the cummins and duramax.... and my buddy gets about 18-19 with his 6.7 cummings and my 07 Duramax got 21. so less power and 12 mpg is not ok with me.... wtf why cant ford get there shit togather I want that dam truck.

The 6.4 and 6.7 make the same power just at differant RPMs. If I could choose I would go with the new 6.7 Cummins only because Cummins is such a good motor and the gas mileage is better.

one of my freinds has an 05 f350 with the 6.0 we have put it side by side with the 08 twin turbo f350 stock the 08 takes it, but both with the edge programer the 05 takes it.

Drew, our 2008 f250 does a great job at pulling anything we throw at it.
at first we had a few problems with the command start, but now its great and we havent had a problem.
i would definately recomend one.
its absolutely no comparison to our 2005 f250. the 05 is way more sluggish.
we also have two 07 f350's and those have lots of power and do great at pulling also.

i would also like to add that the newbody ford half tons have plenty of pulling power. our Mark LT(basically same as the f150) it pulls our 28F prowler trailer with ease.

we have had turbo problems again with the brand new service trucks but they lead a hard life... one turbo at 10000 kms and a couple of injectors shortly after...

pray you dont have to do injectors... on the bigger trucks its quite a procedure and i guess they have to pull the entire cab off the frame to do them Shocked

friend of mine did the head gaskets on his 6.0, and had to pull the cab off too.
