well, that 100lb plug is gone. Truck is now tuned by SCT and running the Extreme race tune. The extreme tune adds an additional 150-180p at the rear wheels. So theoretically the truck is not putting out over 420hp.

Shifting is slightly harder then stock, about on par with the superchips...exhaust at WOT sure sounds sweet and the turbos spool up instantly to over 40psi.

At idle the exhaust is slightly louder then stock and it sounds like a hairdryer and when the truck is turned off the turbo's spooling down sound like a jet engine shutting down.

it is a definite improvement over stock.

I am liking it.

In a couple weeks i am going to be ordering up some custom tuning from River City Diesel. They have the best tunes for the livewire at the moment.

Ya, umm. This is my daily driver. 11.5 mpg. Embarassed
In the winter time it is loaded down quite heavily...by booker, our buddy kevin my sled in the back and a 2 place snowmobile trailer in tow with 2 sleds on it. Laughing So it doesn't get used like it should.

The reason for the high hp tunes is because with these trucks the higher the hp a guy runs, the better the mileage gets. It seems counter intuitive to me but this is what everyone is finding. The guys getting the best fuel economy are the guys running the 530+ rwhp race tunes and throwing their trucks down the 1/4mile in the high 12's and low 13's. There is one guy that just made it into the high 11's and all of this is with regular #2 pump fuel and no nitrous on a 9000lb truck most often a supercab with lift and 35's.

Its insane!!!

Same rings true on my 97 ford with the 7.3.
I have 40hp injectors and run my edge programmer on the race tune.
3.55 gears, 5 speed, 33" tires, ~325whp, 20+ mpg.
It gets about 15mpg going around 90mph.
Nobody understands why I drive an old square bodied 3/4 ton "hutterite wagon."
450,000 kms and counting!

Just under 14mpg on one tank pulling an 18' boat from regina to regina beach and back and the remaining 3/4 of the tank driving in the city.

17.2mpg city driving...but it was only 2 days of driving before i topped up to go out of town.

just under 19mpg on the highway this weekend from Regina to Yorkton and Back. Stock or with the superships use to get 16.5mpg on a good day.

Power is felling good...shift is ok but still kinda mushy....custom tuning to come soon.

Dont know if it was mentioned but try a DPF Delete/MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust kit. I work at Smoke 'Em Diesel Performance and we have installed quite a few so far and they seem to help out alot. Good performance and those 6.4s really bark!!. Also an S&B Air intake helps out too just my $0.02.

Never a good idea. Nothing shrivells the balls like a dyno run.
Over the years Ive seen too mant 450 horse CARS run a dyno to prove 225 at the wheels. Of course those were the big upgrades like shiney intake and valve covers. Then came the cold air intake and fart pipe.

20" Eagle Alloys and 37" BFG AT's Truck sits 1.5" higher and 4" wider.
Minor Rubbing up front because of the increased turning radius.

Truck rides way smoother as the BFG's are a 5 ply vs the 10 ply that I think the Toyo's are rated at.

Haven't re-calibrated the truck for the 37's yet so not sure what it is going to do to the shifting, but right now it has never shifted smoother and there was no noticeable powerloss going to the bigger rubber.
