Thought I would just share my progress via pictures. This is from start to where I am now. Under the diamond plating was all rusted out so cut and tacked in new metal.

I got some parts in from CoolCruisers so thought I would share.
I purchased new door pins, window channels, and window regulators.
Installed the channels on both doors and reassembled the passenger side with the new regulator.

Fabricted a new drivers side floor pan over the weekend, it is not perfect but I am happy with how it turned out.

I also made the passenger side rocker panel and welded both these items in, now just need to clean up my welds and get some fibreglassing done.

Done all the fibreglass except the rear swing doors, and most of the Bondoing is done on the drivers side. Will be picking up paint sometime soon, going to go with the original T309 (freeborn red).

looks good!

you should try to cut the rears more to the original shape if you can. Just sorta sets cruisers apart from heeps.

I had never though about changing the rears to be more like original, I just used the diamond plating as a template since I plan on putting that back on. It is a good idea though and i think I will look into how much more work I would have to do.

Yes we are fortunate. The green one is my dads. It is an early '80s BJ with an aluminium tub.

unless your body work is really bad i suggest leaving the plate off. that stuff is magnet for rust. traps everything behind it.

I also think I had read on another thread that is is possible to move these. Should or could this be relocated to the "Hard Core Corner" section?
