I just had to buy myself a 40 series and you all know the one. I have some plans for it that I will share as I go. Eventually I would like to go back to its original blue.
Because of the color. I was going to call the project "fj-rankenstein is my sister". Why sister? Because fj-rankenstein has a box. Laughing
Here is a photo of my beginning.

That is the plan. Not sure what types of trails I will be doing.

I have a set of 4x4 labs steering arms that are begging to go on that truck, along with a set of large stud knuckles...

You will be able to tackle just about anything in black hills!

Got some shocks today. I also fab'd up the mounts at work today. Pictures of the install will have to be after the weekend. I currently don't have my welder at home.

New shocks and mounts installed. New exhaust will be done when new drivetrain is installed.

Well I traded my 80 Series for a few parts vehicles.
First one is a 1981 Bj42 with a first gen. Aqualoo tub(needs work). It has a strangely patched together and cracked frame with mix matched springs. Will be stripping this one and use parts for the FJ40 and the other BJ. Odometer says 210,000km

Second one is a 81 BJ42 has a good frame and a nasty looking tub. Plans are to keep a rolling chassis for a future project. Odometer says 201,000km. Hopefully have it some what complete with parts from the Green one.

Last is a 1985 BJ60. I might drive it for a bit. During the winter months this BJ60 will be parted out and most of it will end up in the FJ40. Converting the FJ into a BJ with 60 series axles.

Sounds like fun. Thanks again for the springs.
