1995 extra cab project. Started out a Rainman's truck. I have since built it for weekend play with 35 boggers but since I killed the 3.0L its time for reconstruction. It went anywhere before even with the IFS lift and no carnage till the rods let go.

Plans are as follows.
I already have all the drive train just need to decide what to use for lift parts/company. And find some time. Plans are to run 40 LTB's. I have a Indmar marine 5.7LMPI mefi 5 engine 350hp complete with fuel injection, TH400/205 fixed yoke. Dana 44 with 4.88gears yukon axles, and joints, true trac. 12 bolt rear with spool 4.88s.

Rad is going in the box. Trying to decide if I want to 4 link it or just leaf springs.
Open to any suggestions you guys may have.

Any chance someone can tell me how to post pics on this site?
Progress as follows
2000 5.3L vortec installed, th400 b+m shifter( not liking the shifter operation damn lock), Np205 installed and clocked down 2" with NWF clocking ring. Sky full width kit and a dana 44 cut and rotated inner c's 14 degrees (yielding 8* caster) , 4340 shaft and 4.88s with a detroit true trac. 12 bolt in the rear with disc brakes and a 1 ton master cylinder.
I went with the 5.3L because the price was right and I was able to mount the rad in factory location, motor fit so much better then the 350 looked during mock up(damn distributor) Plus the options to make big power are superior to the 350, more bag for your buck in the future. I used a 80s Monte Carlo radiator, fit perfect and outlets are in the correct locations.

The 5.3 Toyota was supposed to be my swap!!

Have you wired that thing yet? Call me if you need a hand. I have a fair working knowledge for wiring them by now.

Can't wait to see it.

Sounds good photo bucket it is, being a single parent I don't get much time to work on it. And with a April 8th dead line its a tough project that is rushed, and I have taken some temporary short cuts. Since I have a free weekend I plan to make some good progress, hopefully near completion and will get some pictures for next week when I will make time to post them.

Kevin yeah the wiring isn't to difficult. I had 8 years of GM training before I switched over to Malibu boats and the ecm wiring is easy. I am actually going to re-write the ecm and run the engine on a speed density program so I can eliminate all the emissions and HO2S, Maf etc. Just using the basic necessary sensors to run the engine. Should be trouble free this way. Plus I can get rid of the torque management program in the ECM it should rip hard. Very Happy

I have removed all torque management in my swap. I still use the MAF and upstream o2 sensors.

Will you have a VSS signal? I think the pcm uses a different fuel map when the VSS signals that the truck is moving.

Cool to hear that, I didn't know you had that training from GM. Maybe should have talked to you when I was having issues with my 2500. Turned out just to be a ground issue. The wiring out those engines is simple anyways. I did have to do a sector swap to run the 4l80e with the 5.3 pcm. The pcm thought it should be running a 4l60e.

Engine is for sale. Complete and ready to drop in.

Going for a little more HP this year. LS3 or LS408 stroked 6.0L
Someone buy the 5.3 setup to help fund the new lungs.
