Thanks Brad.

Major development for the truck this year...my dad just bought a big shop 20mins south of the city. I'm currently looking to pick up an Audi B5 S4 in Alberta and then the Land Cruiser will be retired from daily duty.

A pair of these arrived today. Too late for my rocker pinch welds, but I think they can still be fixed.

Went and did final inspection on the shop last night. Found a small lake under the floor, wet structure. So that won't be happening. At least not right now.

Spent all day exploring around Avonlea today. Found a few homesteads and a fawn on the trail.

Ordered up a pair of dual channel Auber gauges to monitor EGT, trans temp, water temp, and oil psi. I've decided to do away with having a permanently mounted boost gauge and instead I will use two adjustable pressure switches to control the factory boost and overboost lights in the gauge cluster.

I'm planning to fit the gauges below the radio, and do away with my poorly made a-pillar pod entirely.

I'm also getting rid of the Midland CB radio setup I currently have and moving to a Cobra 75 WX ST. I mounted the unit on one of the tweeter brackets and ran the cb cable through a grommet that seemed to be designed for it and then soldered a PL259 on the other end. I don't know why I always used standard length cables before this, putting on your own ends makes the install much cleaner and makes running the cable through the firewall really easy.

Aubers arrived

Airtech made an adapter to use the Auber RTD temp sensor (1/8 NPT) in the factory temp switch location on the trans outlet.

Cut up a single DIN cubby hole and mounted my plate to it.

Another part from Airtech. I can't say enough good things about them..willing to make up custom lines and machine fittings for my truck. Turn around has been less than a day for everything and prices are really reasonable.

This allows me to remote mount both my factory oil pressure sender and the auber sender.

Fitted the Aubers. Bit of tweaking to do depth-wise (pocket by itself fit too recessed...need to put washers on the bottom bolts). I still have to wire up the Auber outputs to control the cluster warning lights but I'll do that when I decide what I'm going to use the fourth readout for.

The Delphi radio I ordered won't fit in the Toyota opening so it's going into my Dad's Land Rover. I ended up with this Kenwood unit that allows me to adjust the colour to green.
