I'll be watching this. I can't see anything when I'm backing up.

I have about a 4 different cameras, from under ten bucks to about 35

they all appear about the same quality.

If you want to try one out, i have two different styles sitting in a cupboard.

I will never be without a backup camera.

i will definitely take you up on that.. i have to re-install the headunit that came with my truck so whenever i get to that and i have access to the cables in behind i will come borrow a camera to try out..

i was looking a bit more and it sure seems like everyone sells the same license plate mounted ones.. its funny that you can buy the same camera from hong kong cheaper and have free shipping over a company in California that is also passing off the same camera for a few bucks more and 20 bucks shipping..

for 10 bucks including shipping i think i will buy 3 or 4 just to have.. so what if you get a year out of them... they were 10 bucks and they all hook up the same so its easy to swap..

love mine in my Trekker .. I opt for the kenwood unit that matched my 7.5" motorized touch screen . It was a little more then 10 bucks though ($200.00) , and the quality is GREAT

Yeah I bought a head unit DVD player that supports a backup camera, and it was packaged with a cheapie like you're talking about. Love it. Mounted it in an angle iron bracket right on top of my 2" receiver.

When putting it together under the truck I used heat shrink tubing over the RCA connectors. Never had an issue in 2 or 3 years.
