I have a 1990 Toyota truck with 22re and 5 spd manual. Just picked up a 94 4Runner V6 automatic that has a blown head gasket. The main reason I bought it was for the 4.88 differentials.

I'm selling it for scrap when the diffs are swapped, so i'm curious now what else I can take from it that I can use on my truck later on if I need.

everything from the interior is interchangable along with the body stuff, the wiring harnesses are different and none of the v6 stuff swaps with the 22re stuff.. like absolutely nothing.. driveshafts are different too being that there is a slight difference in drivetrain length, etc... the axles are interchangable... but there is a difference in where the rear abs and speed sensors are in each rear diff.. you are better off to just switch 3rd members instead of swapping the whole diff..

my yard looks like a toyota dealership circa 1980

Yup that's the plan. Got the rear 3rd out already, will tackle the front tomorrow if the weather is decent.

This is my first toyota (ex jeep owner). So I'll probably be back to ask more silly questions in the near future Smile
